For more information about our offerings in and around Colorado, please contact:

Daniel Weinshenker
Rocky Mountain/Midwest Region Director
Email: daniel@storycenter.org
Phone: (720) 635-1833

Daniel has been telling stories and teaching others to tell stories for more than ten years. After leaving the San Francisco Bay Area, where he was born and raised, he taught creative writing for three years while working on his MA in Creative Writing at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Daniel then spent the next few years in marketing and advertising, helping companies deliver their messages. Although he's not a therapist, his mother is. (Doesn't that count for something?) In 2003, Daniel joined the StoryCenter staff as our first non-local member, based in Denver, Colorado. He specializes in developing projects that explore the impact of digital storytelling for youth and within the health sector, and has also done considerable work with local museums and radio/television broadcasters.

From Denver, take I-25 North to Lyons Exit 243. Take a left and go west on Hwy 66 for about 15 miles (through the north end of Longmont, past the Hygiene exit and the Big Cowboy by the lake). Look for the Rabbit Mountain Open Space sign just before 53rd St. Our driveway and big red farmhouse are on the right, 2/10 of a mile past 53rd on hwy 66. Park in the lot just to the right of the driveway.

From Boulder, drive north on Hwy 36 (Broadway or 28th) to the light at Hwy 66. Take a right and go east on 66 for 9/10 of a mile. You’ll drive under a big pipe that crosses over the highway. We’re the third house on the left, after that pipe. Just before you get to the Rabbit Mountain Open Space sign on the right, you’ll see our driveway and the big red farmhouse on your left. Park in the lot just to the right of the driveway.
